Roasted Garlic Bread
The one that broke the internet.
Ingredients:
4 heads garlic, tops trimmed and roasted with a little olive oil and kosher salt at 400°F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until golden
4 ounces (1 stick) softened butter (salted or unsalted)
1/4 cup freshly grated parm
1-2 tablespoons minced basil
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 baguette, halved cross wise and lengthwise
Squeeze the roasted garlic into a bowl with butter, parm, basil, and crushed red pepper. Stir until smooth then taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper. Spread on to the cut side of baguette (you’ll have leftover garlic butter to keep in the fridge). Bake on a sheet pan, cut-side up, at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes until golden then slice and serve.
